OneCast is an app available for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV (also with versions for Android and macOS) that streams your Xbox One games to any supported device, in high definition video with near-zero lag. If streaming works OK in that configuration, then your issue is with your WIFI connection; if streaming doesn't work OK when both your Mac and Xbox are wired to the router, then there's either some more fundamental network issue, or maybe an issue with the Onecast app, or possibly something wrong with either the Xbox or Mac. How to enable game streaming on Xbox One. Hit the Xbox button on your controller. Navigate to the Settings tab. It looks like a gear. Select Settings. Select Preferences. Select Xbox app connectivity. Select Only from profiles signed in on this Xbox. Select Allow game streaming to other devices.
Up until now, Mac users have been attempting to use the feature with workarounds, including using virtual machine software like Parallels for Mac to run the feature via Windows. OneCast claims to provide crisp 1080p streaming for games via a native Mac app with extremely low lag and without the performance issues workarounds bring along.
The app supports both full screen and windowed modes for streaming to your Mac’s display. OneCast also lets you use the original Xbox One wireless controller by connecting via USB or Bluetooth to your Mac. It also has multi-account support to let you add an unlimited number of Xbox One consoles or Xbox Live gamertags.
